Summer Reading Programs

If you have children who love to read or you simply want to encourage a healthy reading habit in your kids, check out these fun incentive programs for reading over the summer!

Summer is almost here!! Here is a great program that gives incentives to your kids when they read!! And it is absolutely FREE!!

Barnes & Noble has a fun summer reading program called Imagination's Destination.

Children can earn a FREE book when they've read 8 books. Children (or parents) record their books in a reading journal downloadable HERE. Your child then chooses a book from the list included in the journal and brings it to their local Barnes & Noble store to redeem between 5/24 - 9/6/11.

Note: This program is good for children in 1st thru 6th grade.

Borders
  is encouraging kids to read this summer through their Double-Dog Dare Challenge!

When your child reads 10 books, they'll get a book for FREE! Download this form, fill it in, and bring it by your local Borders, Borders Express, or Waldenbooks store between 6/1 - 9/5/11 to redeem your free book coupon. Click HERE for a list of books your child can choose from for their freebie.

*Note:
This challenge is for children 12 and under.
